Requests for SEARCH crisis funds are offered to individuals in the live events, meetings, and catering industries. The range allowed to any individual is up to $5,000 per occurrence within a 12-month period.

Who qualifies for assistance?
SEARCH Foundation assists individuals in crisis, defined as loss of personal home/structure, illness, or injury. We do not cover canceled events/contracted force majeure.
Here’s what to know about getting relief, and how it works
A Crisis Happens
Crisis means many things to many people. Your entire neighborhood washed away in a flood, being ravaged by wildfires, or lost in a tornado. A routine check-up coming back with the dreaded words "you have cancer." A car accident that leaves you impaired or hospitalized for an extended period of time
Fill Out An Application
Our application process is fully digital. Just fill out both the Word and PDF forms, and submit them to our organization, along with the necessary requested documentation. Your personal information is held in the strictest confidence. Requests for assistance are reviewed anonymously. Personal information is not shared with the Application Review Committee. Upon receiving your application it will be reviewed to ensure all criteria is met. If additional information is required we will contact you directly to supply it
Get Approved
To date, The SEARCH Foundation has funded 100% of qualified cases. Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed and upon approval, funds are distributed within 7 days. Most approved cases receives funding notification within 72 hours
ABOUT US
The SEARCH Foundation was formed in 1997 and exists to event, meetings, and catering professionals faced with a life threatening illness or catastrophic occurrence.
For nearly 30 years, we’ve been providing direct financial relief to event professionals experiencing crisis. To date, we’ve distributed more than $1.3 million in funds.
We raise money through fundraising activities, which includes direct contributions from individuals, as well as corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
We maintain a confidential application process, where all personal and identifying information is redacted prior to being submitted to our review committee.
